On November 5, Liao Jiasheng, Chairman of CECEP, met with Ma Jun, Secretary of the Bengbu Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Bengbu, at the Group’s headquarters. The two sides held in-depth discussions on promoting practical cooperation. Liu Dajun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of CECEP, attended the meeting.
Liao Jiasheng extended a warm welcome to Ma Jun and his delegation, expressing sincere appreciation to the Bengbu Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for their long-standing support and attention to CECEP. He introduced the overall profile of CECEP and its ongoing projects in Bengbu. Liao noted that CECEP has consistently implemented Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, focusing for many years on its core energy conservation and environmental protection businesses. Through rich practical experience and advanced technical expertise, CECEP has long participated in Bengbu’s water supply and wastewater treatment initiatives, providing strong support for the ecological protection of Bengbu and the Huaihe River Basin. He added that CECEP looks forward to deepening cooperation with Bengbu in areas such as wastewater treatment and pipeline construction, zero-carbon industrial parks, solid waste management, dual-carbon consulting and watershed governance, contributing to the creation of a beautiful Bengbu and its high-quality development.
Ma Jun expressed heartfelt gratitude for CECEP’s warm reception and sincere appreciation for its positive contributions to Bengbu’s urban development and ecological civilization progress. He emphasized that as one of China’s old industrial base cities and a national pioneer in ecological civilization, Bengbu attaches great importance to green transformation and development. The six major industrial clusters currently under development align closely with CECEP’s core business areas. Bengbu looks forward to further strengthening cooperation with CECEP on the existing foundation, particularly in industrial park energy efficiency upgrades, environmental equipment manufacturing, green materials development, wastewater treatment and reuse, and comprehensive water environment management, to jointly create model projects and achieve mutual benefits.
Liu Zongwen, Secretary-General of the Bengbu Municipal Government, and officials from Huaishang District, the Ecology and Environment Bureau, Urban Management Bureau, Investment Promotion Center, Investment Group and Beijing Office of Bengbu attended the meeting. Also present were Zhao Youmin, Secretary of the Board and Director of the Cooperation Department of CECEP, as well as representatives from the General Office, CECEP Guozhen, General Water of China, CECEP Building Energy Conservation and CNEPG.
