On September 2, Li Zhen, Vice Chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), visited CECEP for research and guidance. Officials from SASAC’s Bureau of Science and Technology Innovation and Bureau of Enterprise Reform accompanied the visit. Liao Jiasheng, Chairman of CECEP, delivered a work report, with Du Le, Deputy General Manager, attending the meeting.
Li Zhen commended CECEP for its achievements in serving national strategies, strengthening technological innovation, deepening reform, and preventing and mitigating risks. He called on CECEP to thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on the reform and development of state-owned enterprises and Party building, and to focus on building a world-class energy conservation and environmental protection group. CECEP should strengthen its core functions, fulfill its responsibilities as a major platform for pollution control in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, enhance its capacity to provide services for achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, and strive to become a core platform for specialized integration in the energy conservation and environmental protection sector among central SOEs. It should step up technological innovation, strengthen efforts to develop key and core technologies in energy conservation and environmental protection, accelerate intelligent transformation and upgrading, and promote the application of AI to its core businesses. It should continue to deepen reform, plan effectively for the next round of reform tasks, remain focused on its strategic positioning, further improve corporate governance, and channel advantageous resources toward its core businesses. It should also coordinate development and security, prevent risks in key areas, strengthen risk management at the source, enhance lean management, and ensure the effective implementation of all annual targets and tasks.
Liao Jiasheng reported on the Group’s business portfolio, reform and development, preparation of the 15th Five-Year Plan, and progress on key tasks. He said CECEP will continue to put Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization into practice and uphold the idea that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. It will fully implement the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council and resolutely follow the requirements of SASAC. CECEP will continue to advance key initiatives in internal reform, technological innovation, specialized integration, business expansion, portfolio optimization, risk prevention and control and Party building. It will address historical problems while pursuing high-quality development, and make every effort to implement the 15th Five-Year Plan strategy, thereby contributing greater strength to the development of a Beautiful China.
