CGC Wins Qinghai Watershed Restoration Project

Recently, CGC, a subsidiary of CECEP, secured another breakthrough in Qinghai’s ecological governance market by winning the bid for the water ecological and environmental governance project in the Longzhigou Basin, a first-order tributary of the Huangshui River in Minhe County, Qinghai Province. The project has a contract value of 18.8586 million yuan. 

The project is a key initiative for regional water ecological conservation. Its main construction works include the restoration of river ecological buffer zones and supporting projects to improve the water environment. Once completed, the project will effectively enhance the basin’s water ecological functions and improve the quality of the regional water environment. It will also play an important role in safeguarding ecological security in the Huangshui River Basin and promoting local green development. 

As one of the earliest centrally administered state-owned enterprises in China to engage in ecological and environmental governance, CGC has in recent years undertaken a large number of ecological and environmental governance projects in key ecological areas, including the Yellow River Basin, Yangtze River Basin and Erhai Lake, accumulating extensive technical expertise and project management capabilities. The successful bid marks another major achievement for CGC in strengthening its core ecological and environmental protection business and continuing to expand its presence in the Qinghai market. It also demonstrates further recognition of the company’s technical expertise and market competitiveness in integrated watershed management. Going forward, CGC will establish a professional project team, organize construction in a scientific manner, exercise strict quality and safety controls, and ensure that the project is completed to high standards and quality, contributing to ecological and environmental governance in Qinghai.
