On July 9, the 32nd China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair opened in Lanzhou, Gansu Province. Centered on the theme "New Opportunities for Pragmatic Cooperation, New Pattern of Open Development", this year's event brought together more than 1,000 enterprises from China and abroad to explore new opportunities for economic and trade cooperation along the Yellow River. Zhang Shirong, General Manager of CECEP, attended the opening ceremony and participated in the Gansu Province–Central State-owned Enterprises Cooperation and Development Dialogue that afternoon.
During his visit to Gansu, Zhang held a series of business meetings in Tianshui and Lanzhou to advance cooperation on a range of projects.
On July 7, Zhang met with Yang Jinquan, Secretary of the CPC Tianshui Municipal Committee, and Liu Lijiang, Mayor of Tianshui. The two sides held in-depth discussions on key areas including new energy development, integrated solid waste management and the development of zero-carbon industrial parks. They agreed to further expand the scope of cooperation, elevate the level of collaboration, and jointly build a model for green, coordinated development between local government and enterprise.

On the morning of July 8, Zhang held talks with Zhou Feng, Director of the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The two sides exchanged views on technology pathways in areas including environmental pollutant treatment, recycling of decommissioned wind turbine blades, and circular utilization of waste plastics. They agreed to leverage their respective strengths to deepen industry-university-research collaboration in key fields by jointly establishing innovation platforms, tackling core technologies and accelerating the commercialization of research outcomes.

On the afternoon of July 8, Zhang met with Zhou Jijun, Secretary of the CPC Qingyang Municipal Committee, and Hu Zhiyong, Mayor of Qingyang. The discussions focused on the development of zero-carbon industrial parks, new energy development, waste recycling and resource utilization, treatment of mine drainage from coal mines, and mechanisms for realizing the value of ecological products. Both sides agreed to deepen practical cooperation in these priority areas and work together to develop a number of high-quality flagship projects.

During the visit, Zhang also conducted field inspections at the Northwest Regional Company of CECEP Solar, the Northwest Regional Company of CECWPC, and the Tianshui Waste-to-Energy Project operated by CNEPG.
