On June 17, Liao Jiasheng, Chairman of CECEP, and Zhang Shirong, General Manager, visited Tianjin and met with Zhang Gong, Mayor of Tianjin. The two sides held in-depth discussions on strengthening practical cooperation. Wang Baoyu, Vice Mayor of Tianjin, and Du Le and Cao Huabin, Deputy General Managers of CECEP, attended the meeting.
Zhang Gong welcomed Liao Jiasheng, Zhang Shirong and their delegation, and expressed his sincere appreciation for CECEP’s long-standing support for Tianjin’s economic and social development. He noted that Tianjin is currently studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization in depth, strengthening ecological and environmental protection, and advancing a two-year campaign to tackle air pollution. The city is focusing on technological empowerment and engineering-based upgrades to accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation of its development model. As China’s flagship central state-owned enterprise in the field of energy conservation and environmental protection, CECEP enjoys a solid foundation for cooperation with Tianjin and broad prospects for future collaboration. He expressed hope that the Group would leverage its strengths in technology, talent, markets and resources to actively participate in Tianjin’s ecological and environmental governance and green industrial development, expand its strategic investment presence, and further strengthen cooperation in air pollution control, energy-efficiency upgrading, resource recycling and green finance, thereby contributing to Tianjin’s ecological civilization development and high-quality growth.
Liao Jiasheng expressed his sincere gratitude to the Tianjin Municipal Government for their long-standing support and assistance to CECEP. He introduced the Group’s overall profile, business layout and development in Tianjin. He stated that, as a central state-owned enterprise specializing in energy conservation and environmental protection, CECEP has always taken Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization as its fundamental guiding principle, fully supported the national carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals and the Beautiful China Initiative, and actively integrated itself into the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The Group has a strong foundation for cooperation with Tianjin and significant potential for future collaboration. CECEP looks forward to deepening cooperation with Tianjin in areas including energy conservation and clean energy supply, ecological and environmental restoration, integrated solid waste treatment, and the development and utilization of clean energy, making greater contributions to the building of a Beautiful Tianjin and to green, low-carbon development.
Hu Xueming, Secretary-General of the Tianjin Municipal Government; Yang Po, Deputy Secretary-General of the Municipal Government; and officials from the municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Urban Management Commission, the Planning and Natural Resources Bureau, the Ecology and Environment Bureau, and the Binhai New Area Government attended the meeting. Also present were Zheng Zhaohui, Chief Economist of CECEP and Chairman of CECEP Data; Zhao Youmin, Board Secretary and Director of the Cooperation Department; and representatives from the General Office, Strategic Development Department, CECEP Building Energy Conservation, CNEPG, CGC and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Market Development Center.
