On the afternoon of June 10, Liao Jiasheng, Chairman of CECEP, visited Tongji University and held a working meeting with Yang Jinlong, President of Tongji University. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on deepening their strategic cooperation.
Liao thanked Tongji University for its long-standing support and assistance to CECEP and congratulated the university on its recent achievements. He also introduced CECEP’s core business layout and development plans. He noted that, as a central state-owned enterprise specializing in energy conservation and environmental protection, CECEP has always regarded the implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization as its mission. Through years of development, the Group has accumulated extensive practical experience and a series of core technologies in the fields of energy conservation and environmental protection. With a solid foundation for cooperation and broad prospects for future collaboration, CECEP hopes to deepen cooperation with Tongji University in areas including environmental governance, solid waste and water treatment, new material development, zero-carbon campus construction, talent cultivation, and the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, working together to promote green, low-carbon and high-quality development.
Yang welcomed Liao and his delegation and spoke highly of the long-standing cooperation between the two sides. He also introduced the history and recent development of Tongji University. He pointed out that, as a prestigious university with more than a century of history, Tongji University upholds the principle of advancing with the nation and serving society through education and science. The university possesses strong academic capabilities in disciplines such as civil engineering, architecture, urban planning and environmental studies. Its strategic priorities align closely with those of CECEP, and the two sides enjoy highly complementary resources and significant cooperation potential. Tongji University looks forward to expanding cooperation with CECEP in areas such as resource recycling, ecological and environmental protection, artificial intelligence research and application, green and low-carbon campus development, joint scientific research initiatives, and professional talent cultivation, striving to achieve mutual benefit and coordinated development.
Following the meeting, Liao and his delegation visited Tongji University’s Smart Campus Decision-Making Command Center and gained a detailed understanding of the university’s digital campus development.
Attendees from Tongji University included Feng Shijin, Assistant President and Dean of the Scientific and Technology Research Institute, along with representatives from the Party Committee Office, the Foreign Affairs Office, the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, the College of Electronic and Information Engineering, the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, and Shanghai Tongji Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. Attendees from CECEP included Zheng Zhaohui, Chief Economist of the Group and Chairman of CECEP Data; Zhao Youmin, Board Secretary of the Group and Director of the Cooperation Department; as well as representatives from the General Office, the Science and Technology Department, CECEP Building Energy Conservation, CECEP Guozhen, and CECEP Central China Industry Development.
