The winners of the 2025 Huaxia Construction Science and Technology Award were recently announced. The project Theories, Methods, Key Technologies and Demonstration of Regionally Adaptive Architectural Design Serving Rural Revitalization and the Belt and Road Initiative, jointly submitted with the participation of New Era (Xi’an) Design Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CQEC, received the Second Prize.
Established in 2002 with the approval of the National Office for Science and Technology Awards and organized by the Center of Science and Technology Industrial Development (CSTID) under the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Huaxia Construction Science and Technology Award is one of the highest honors in China’s construction science and technology sector. It aims to promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into productive forces and enhance the overall technical capabilities of the housing and urban-rural development industry.
CQEC has long focused on regionally adaptive architectural design. Relying on its professional design team, the company has integrated the concept of good housing into engineering practices supporting rural revitalization and the Belt and Road Initiative. It has undertaken and completed multiple practical village planning projects and rural architectural landscape designs tailored to local conditions, providing rural areas with livable solutions that are safe, comfortable, green and smart. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, four overseas aid projects completed in Belt and Road partner countries were recognized as Outstanding Foreign Aid Projects and have all been completed and handed over. Moving forward, CQEC will continue to support national strategies with high-quality planning and design services, contributing professional expertise and strength to rural revitalization and Belt and Road development.
