On the afternoon of May 9, Liao Jiasheng, Chairman of CECEP, met with Li Yongqiang, President of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE), and his delegation at the group headquarters. The two sides held in-depth discussions on strengthening cooperation between the enterprise and the university. Ming Haifeng, Deputy Party Secretary of SWUFE, and Liu Dajun, Deputy Party Secretary of CECEP, attended the meeting.
Liao extended a warm welcome to Li and his delegation and introduced CECEP’s overall operations, development plans and talent cultivation efforts. He noted that, as a central state-owned enterprise focused on energy conservation and environmental protection, CECEP has consistently implemented Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and fully integrated its development into the broader drive for ecological civilization. The Group has accumulated extensive practical experience and a range of core technologies in the energy-saving and environmental protection sectors. He added that SWUFE enjoys a long history and strong academic standing, particularly in the field of finance and economics, giving the two sides broad prospects for cooperation. CECEP hopes to further strengthen collaboration with SWUFE in areas such as talent recruitment and training, green finance and zero-carbon campus development, so as to leverage their respective strengths and achieve high-quality development together.
Li expressed sincere appreciation for the warm reception from CECEP and introduced SWUFE’s history, academic strengths and talent development programs. He said that, as one of China’s first universities selected for the national Double First-Class Initiative, SWUFE has upheld its mission of cultivating financial and economic professionals and serving national development, forming an educational model distinguished by strengths in finance and economics alongside coordinated development across multiple disciplines. He noted that CECEP possesses strong capabilities and significant influence in the energy-saving and environmental protection sector, providing an excellent platform for talent development and the commercialization of academic achievements. SWUFE looks forward to deepening cooperation with the Group in areas including employment and professional training, industry-education integration, and energy conservation and carbon reduction, so as to complement each other’s strengths and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
Li Xue, Assistant to the President and Director of the President’s Office of SWUFE, along with officials from the Student Career Planning and Employment Guidance Center and the Beijing Research Institute, attended the meeting. Zhao Youmin, Board Secretary and Director of the Cooperation Department of CECEP, together with officials from the General Office and the Human Resources Department, also participated in the meeting.
