On April 9, Liao Jiasheng, Chairman of CECEP, visited Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, where he met with Lu Dongliang, Deputy Secretary of the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Shanxi Province, and held working talks. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on deepening practical cooperation and jointly advancing green and low-carbon transformation. Wang Haizhou, Member of the Standing Committee of the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and Vice Governor, and Du Le, Deputy General Manager of CECEP, also attended the meeting.
Lu Dongliang expressed his gratitude to CECEP for its long-standing support to Shanxi’s economic and social development. He noted that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, Shanxi will focus closely on the major missions assigned by General Secretary Xi Jinping and the CPC Central Committee, take the dual-carbon goals as the guiding principle, and accelerate the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development, which will create broad scenarios and strong demand for energy conservation and environmental protection. As a flagship central enterprise in China’s energy conservation and environmental protection sector, CECEP is expected to strengthen alignment in planning and project coordination with the province, deepen joint innovation and application of key technologies, and expand cooperation in areas such as large-scale development and utilization of new energy plus energy storage, carbon reduction and efficiency improvement in key industries, construction of green electricity industrial parks, comprehensive treatment of bulk solid waste, and the development of integrated energy-saving and environmental protection services. He also encouraged both sides to actively explore new business models in carbon consulting, carbon certification and carbon asset management, jointly build a number of benchmark demonstration projects, and achieve mutually beneficial development. Shanxi will accelerate the cultivation and opening of application scenarios and provide strong service support for enterprises operating in the province.
Liao Jiasheng expressed sincere appreciation to the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government for their long-term support to CECEP, and introduced the Group’s core business layout, its 15th Five-Year Plan and its investment and development in Shanxi. He stated that, as a central enterprise focusing on energy conservation and environmental protection, the Group consistently follows Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and is committed to serving the national dual-carbon strategy and the Beautiful China initiative. As a national pilot zone for comprehensive reform in transforming resource-based economies and for energy revolution, Shanxi is accelerating the establishment of a new energy system and advancing green and low-carbon development, which highly aligns with the Group’s main business and development strategy, offering broad prospects for cooperation. The Group looks forward to deepening cooperation with Shanxi in areas including energy conservation and clean energy supply, zero-carbon industrial park development, comprehensive solid waste treatment, clean energy development and utilization, dual-carbon technologies and consulting services, ecological and environmental governance, and smart environmental monitoring. It will promote the research, development and application of advanced technologies in Shanxi, plan and implement more high-quality projects, and better contribute to building a Beautiful Shanxi and achieving high-quality development.
Li Qiuzhu, Secretary-General of the Shanxi Provincial Government, and officials from the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Department of Industry and Information Technology, Department of Natural Resources, Energy Bureau, Department of Ecology and Environment, and State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission attended the meeting. Zhao Youmin, Secretary to the Board of Directors and Director of the Cooperation Department of the Group, along with responsible officials from CECEP Solar, CECWPC, CECEP Building Energy Conservation, CNEPG, CECEP Ecotech, CECEP Data, and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Market Development Center, also participated in the talks.
