On March 12, Liao Jiasheng, Chairman of CECEP, met with Zeng Yuqun, Chairman and CEO of CATL, and his delegation at CECEP headquarters. The two sides held in-depth discussions on further deepening strategic cooperation. Zheng Yelai, Co-President of CATL’s Market System, and Zhu Qingfeng, Chief Accountant of CECEP, attended the meeting.
Liao Jiasheng welcomed Zeng Yuqun and his delegation and introduced the overall situation, strategic planning and progress of cooperation with CATL. He noted that as a central enterprise primarily engaged in energy conservation and environmental protection, CECEP has consistently practiced Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and upheld the concept that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. The Group firmly serves the national dual-carbon strategy, focusing on core businesses such as new energy, energy conservation and carbon reduction, and ecological and environmental protection, while attaching great importance to and actively cultivating strategic emerging industries including energy storage. CATL holds a technological lead and strong overall capabilities in power batteries and energy storage. With aligned strategic missions and complementary business strengths, the two sides have enormous potential for cooperation. CECEP hopes to strengthen collaboration with CATL in areas such as coordinated development of new energy businesses, research on new materials, construction of zero-carbon industrial parks and digital carbon management, jointly contributing to the building of a Beautiful China and the green and low-carbon transition.
Zeng Yuqun expressed gratitude for CECEP’s long-standing support and assistance and introduced CATL’s development and business layout. He said that as a global leader in innovative new energy technologies, CATL is committed to providing world-class solutions and services for new energy applications worldwide. CECEP has deep business accumulation and strong technological capabilities in fields such as new energy and fine chemical materials. The two sides have a solid foundation for cooperation and broad prospects for future collaboration. CATL looks forward to further strengthening cooperation with CECEP in areas including the application of energy storage technologies, battery material development, the creation of zero-carbon scenarios, and dual-carbon management consulting, deepening integrated innovation across the industrial chain, actively serving national ecological civilization initiatives and green development under the Belt and Road Initiative, and jointly achieving mutual benefit and high-quality development.
