On March 3, CECEP Solar successfully obtained the filing approval for the CECEP Wuwei 100MW/400MWh grid-side independent energy storage project.
The project is planned to be built in Liangzhou District of Wuwei City, Gansu Province, with a planned land area of about 33 mu. The area features relatively strong electricity demand and a high proportion of installed photovoltaic capacity, providing favorable conditions for the operation of an independent energy storage project. At the same time, the project can rely on the company’s existing 110kV booster station and the advantage of concentrated personnel from nearby projects, facilitating grid connection, effectively controlling construction costs, further improving refined management efficiency, and enabling intensive resource development.
After the project is put into operation, its single charging capacity will reach 400,000 kilowatt-hours. It will be able to respond rapidly to changes in grid frequency and voltage, effectively supporting peak regulation during evening demand peaks in the regional power grid. The project is of great significance for the coordinated operation of energy storage and renewable energy, the planning of regional virtual power plant development, and the construction of a new energy system. It will provide strong support for the safe and stable operation of the power grid in Gansu and for the consumption of new energy.
Next, CECEP Solar will take this opportunity to accelerate the project’s preparatory work and strive for its early completion and operation, contributing green momentum to the CECEP Year of Tackling Tough Challenges and playing a greater role in building a new-type power system.
