On the afternoon of January 28, the 2025 Council Meeting of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) was held in Beijing. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Chairman of the China Chamber of International Commerce, attended the meeting and delivered remarks. Liao Jiasheng, Chairman of CECEP, was invited to attend and spoke at the meeting as a representative of a vice-chairman unit of the Council.
Liao Jiasheng said that, as a central state-owned enterprise with energy conservation and environmental protection as its core mission, CECEP has consistently studied and applied Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, resolutely shouldered its political responsibility to serve the Beautiful China initiative and implement the national dual-carbon strategy, and remained committed to building a world-class energy conservation and environmental protection industrial group. Looking ahead to the 15th Five-Year Plan period, CECEP has placed overseas business expansion in a prominent position and is accelerating the development of an internationalized operating system. Seizing new opportunities arising from the global green and low-carbon transition, the Group hopes to leverage the CCOIC platform to actively promote its technologies, models and services in areas such as solid waste treatment, wastewater treatment, new energy and integrated energy efficiency, take part in the formulation of international green rules and standards, and contribute CECEP expertise to building a clean and beautiful world.
The meeting reviewed and approved the 2025 CCOIC work report, adjustments and additions to the Council membership, and other matters. Liu Jiannan, CCPIT Vice Chairman and CCOIC Vice Chairman, read out the meeting resolutions. Heads of several organizations, including CRRC, also delivered speeches.
More than 900 council representatives attended the meeting both online and offline. Zhao Youmin, Secretary to the Board and Director of the Cooperation Department of CECEP, as well as the head of the Overseas Business Department, also attended the meeting.
