The ninth Staff Sports Games of CECEP concluded successfully at Yuetan Stadium on October 13. A total of 21 teams, 996 athletes and more than 1,400 employees from across the Group gathered to compete, demonstrating the perseverance and determination that characterize the Group’s Year of Overcoming Challenges. Liao Jiasheng, Chairman of the Group, declared the games open, while Zhang Shirong, General Manager, delivered the opening address. Members of the Group’s leadership team and senior executives attended the event.
The games opened to the rousing Athletes’ March. The national flag and the Group’s flag entered the stadium first, carried by flag bearers with upright postures and firm, rhythmic strides. The national flag and the Group’s flag flew side by side. The contingents of all 21 teams then entered in succession, marching in orderly formation and chanting spirited slogans, showcasing the unity, drive and positive spirit of the Group’s employees.
This year’s games featured 32 track and field events, as well as team competitions including group calisthenics and tug-of-war. All athletes competed vigorously, upheld the rules and demonstrated teamwork. On the tug-of-war field, they pulled together with determination and a shared purpose. In long-distance races, they persevered and pushed beyond their limits. During group calisthenics, they moved in precise unison, radiating energy and enthusiasm. Every moment of competition reflected CECEP employees’ commitment to excellence and their ability to work collaboratively. Every drop of sweat mirrored their efforts to break new ground in market expansion, lean management, reform and innovation.
After a full day of intense competition, all awards were presented. CECEP Solar, China New Era Group Corporation and General Water of China took first, second and third place, respectively, in the overall team standings. The Group Headquarters, CNEPG and CGC received the Outstanding Organization Award, while CECWPC, CECEP Central China Industry Development and CECEP Data received the Award for Team Spirit. In group calisthenics, the Group Headquarters, General Water of China and New Era Group Corporation placed first, second and third, respectively. In tug-of-war, CECEP Solar, CGC and General Water of China took the top three places, respectively. A total of 133 athletes won first-, second- or third-place awards in track and field events.
The successful conclusion of the games has brought employees together and strengthened their resolve for the challenges ahead. The competitive spirit, determination and vitality displayed on the field will translate into powerful momentum as CECEP employees tackle difficulties and press ahead under pressure. All Group employees will remain focused on the “13846” strategic plan, maintain confidence and work diligently as they advance on a new journey toward building a world-class energy conservation and environmental protection conglomerate and contributing to the development of a Beautiful China.
