Recently, Brazil’s National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) officially published a resolution in the Federal Official Gazette announcing that Yantai Valiant Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. had successfully obtained ANVISA GMP certification for its active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) RPZQ.
ANVISA is one of the most authoritative drug regulatory agencies in Latin America, and its GMP standards strictly follow the guidelines of the Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC/S). Valiant Pharma successfully passed ANVISA’s on-site inspection, with all core areas, including its quality management system, production workshops, equipment and facilities, materials management, laboratory controls, and documentation and records, meeting the requirements with zero deficiencies. The certified API RPZQ, a key ingredient in the manufacture of arpraziquantel, will make a positive contribution to the health treatment of schistosomiasis among preschool children overseas.
The successful export of RPZQ marks another recognition of Valiant Pharma’s quality management system against international high standards, laying a solid foundation for expanding into Brazil and the broader Latin American market. It also represents an important milestone in the company’s internationalization strategy.
