The EPC Project for Sewage Pipe Network Upgrading in Ciping Town, Jinggangshan and Yicui Lake Water System Remediation (hereinafter referred to as the project), constructed by CECEP Techand's subsidiary, Techand Construction, was recently awarded the 2024 Jiangxi Provincial Gold Award for High-quality Landscaping Engineering. Located in Ciping Town, Jinggangshan City, Jiangxi Province, the project systematically remediated a 910,000-square-meter area, promoting the integration of ecology + cultural tourism to boost green development and stimulate new economic vitality for high-quality regional growth.
The project achieved comprehensive goals for Ciping Town, including full coverage of separate stormwater and sewage systems, ensuring 50 years of reliable drainage pipeline operation, and increasing the influent COD concentration at the sewage plant to over 132 mg/L. Key measures included: retrofitting drainage units for stormwater/sewage separation; rehabilitating existing defective drainage pipes; constructing 12.6 km of new separated pipelines; relocating underwater pipes to land; and upgrading existing sewage pumping stations. Consequently, Yicui Lake's water quality improved from Class V (inferior) to Class II standards. Furthermore, the project revitalized Yicui Lake Park into a core green space featuring integrated mountains, water, urban scenery and tourist-friendly ecological elements. This enhanced the fusion of the historic "red" revolutionary sites with the ecological park, unlocking the area's potential. It transformed the existing "green but not so beautiful" plant landscape into seasonal scenery zones (spring cherry blossoms, summer lotuses, autumn maples, winter plums), achieving a 98% plant survival rate and creating a picturesque landscape viewable year-round.
Additionally, the project successfully restored ancient structures with "zero damage" while integrating smart monitoring systems. It connected Jinggangshan's revolutionary education sites, increasing average visitor stay duration by 45% compared to pre-project levels. Annual visitor numbers in the project area now exceed 2 million, effectively turning lucid waters and lush mountains into invaluable assets by converting ecological value into economic benefits. It stands as a new benchmark for ecological remediation in revolutionary base areas.
Moving forward, CECEP Techand remains committed to the principle that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets". The company will replicate and promote this successful model to create more high-quality engineering projects, supporting high-level ecological protection and development within the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
