CECEP Techand, together with Taizhou University and Taizhou Environmental Science Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., has successfully established the Provincial Key Laboratory for Restoration of Degraded Coastal Ecosystems. Approved by the Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province, it marks Zhejiang's first key laboratory dedicated to coastal ecological restoration.
The laboratory aims to advance ecological civilization construction, strengthen ecological security barriers and protect biodiversity. Aligned with national and provincial ecological strategies and addressing scientific needs for ecological security under the dual carbon goals, it will focus on restoring degraded coastal wetlands, farmlands, forests, saline-alkali lands and groundwater systems. Core activities include fundamental theoretical research, development of key technologies and equipment and integrated demonstration projects in typical regions. This work will support ecological monitoring and early warning systems, restoration of damaged ecosystems, biodiversity conservation and urban living environment improvement. The goal is to establish and promote systematic restoration technologies, resolving critical challenges in rehabilitating and enhancing the functionality of degraded coastal ecosystems.
Moving forward, CECEP Techand will leverage this provincial key laboratory to deepen industry-university-research-application partnerships. The company will accelerate research and commercialization of cutting-edge technologies for restoring and improving degraded coastal ecosystems, fostering new, high-quality productive forces in ecological restoration. This initiative aims to inject new momentum into high-level environmental protection and high-quality economic development.
