On March 17, Liao Jiasheng, Party Secretary and Chairman of CECEP, held a meeting at the headquarters with Ren Xingwen, Full-time Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and First-level Inspector of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of Sichuan Province. The two sides engaged in an in-depth discussion on strengthening cooperation in the field of energy conservation and environmental protection.
Liao warmly welcomed Ren and his delegation and provided an overview of CECEP’s main business areas as well as its operations in Sichuan. He noted that Sichuan, as a major ecological and economic province in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, has played an active leading role in advancing the overall ecological protection of the Yangtze River Basin. Emphasizing the Group’s commitment to expanding its presence in the region, Liao stated that CECEP plans to deepen its strategic partnership with the province by strengthening cooperation in areas such as pollution control along the Yangtze, solid waste disposal, consulting and planning, and the development of green industries. He also highlighted the Group’s intention to contribute to the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing dual-city economic circle.
Ren expressed his gratitude for the significant contributions CECEP has made to ecological and environmental protection in Sichuan. He remarked that, as the “national team” in the energy conservation and environmental protection sector, the company has effectively leveraged its role as the primary platform for pollution control along the Yangtze Economic Belt, thereby making important contributions to the nation’s energy conservation efforts. Ren further encouraged CECEP to build on its strengths by enhancing cooperation with enterprises under the provincial government in areas such as green industry investment, waste resource utilization, and comprehensive solid waste management, so as to jointly contribute to the development of ecological civilization in Sichuan.
Also in attendance were Wang Junkun, member of the Chengdu Municipal SASAC Party Committee and Deputy Director, along with officials from the External Cooperation Promotion Department of the Sichuan Provincial SASAC; and Cao Huabin, member of CECEP Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, accompanied by representatives from the Research Center of the Cooperation Department.
