On February 7, Song Xin, Party Secretary and Chairman of CECEP, met with Ma Yongsheng, Party Secretary and Chairman of Sinopec, at CECEP headquarters in Beijing. The two leaders discussed deepening collaboration to implement national strategies, uphold the responsibilities of central state-owned enterprises, and advance practical, multi-sectoral cooperation. They also witnessed the signing of a strategic cooperation framework agreement between the two groups. Du Le, Member of the Party Standing Committee and Deputy General Manager of CECEP, and Li Yonglin, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Sinopec, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Song Xin welcomed Ma Yongsheng and his delegation, providing an overview of CECEP’s core businesses and reform initiatives. He emphasized that the agreement marks a significant milestone in strengthening collaboration and opens a new chapter of mutual growth. As a flagship central enterprise in China’s energy conservation and environmental protection sector, CECEP will continue to implement Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, align with national strategies, and collaborate with Sinopec to promote high-quality green and low-carbon development, fulfilling the mission of state-owned enterprises.
Ma Yongsheng congratulated CECEP on its recent achievements in reform and development. He stated that Sinopec prioritizes green development. Moving forward, both parties will use this agreement as a new starting point to deepen cooperation in cutting-edge technologies, jointly build green production systems, and pioneer innovative productivity models. By leveraging shared resources and complementary strengths, they aim to set a new benchmark for collaboration among central enterprises and create a fresh landscape of high-quality, win-win development.
Under the agreement, the two groups will deepen cooperation in green and high-quality development, focusing on sectors such as new materials, energy conservation and environmental protection.
The meeting was attended by Zhang Jun, Secretary to Sinopec’s Board of Directors and Party Committee, along with heads from Sinopec’s subsidiaries, Finance Department, Science and Technology R&D Department and Development Planning Department. CECEP representatives included Cao Huabin, Member of the Party Standing Committee and Deputy General Manager, as well as leaders from Cooperation Department, Asset Management Department, Technology Department, Valiant, CECEP Solar, CECEP Building Energy Conservation Co., Ltd., CNEPG and the Research Center.
