Recently, CGM, a subsidiary of CGC, successfully won the bid for the Mechanical Core Drilling Project for Three 1:50,000 Regional Mineral Geological Survey Sheets in Northern Laos. This marks a major breakthrough in CGM’s market development and reflects CGC’s active efforts to support the Belt and Road Initiative and advance practical cooperation based on its core business. The project is expected to serve as a positive model for promoting regional resource sharing and international industrial cooperation.
As a key component of the mineral resource potential assessment in northern Laos, the project covers multiple important geological units across Luang Prabang, Vientiane and Xayaburi provinces. Its broad construction scope, complex terrain and demanding conditions place high requirements on the contractor’s technical expertise, equipment capabilities and project management. CGM will carry out systematic deep geological sampling and data collection across northern Laos, providing essential scientific evidence for accurately evaluating mineral resource distribution and reserves. The project will contribute to resource development and socioeconomic progress in Laos. All work will strictly follow relevant technical specifications and tender standards to ensure the scientific integrity and accuracy of the geological data obtained.
