On June 27, 2017 the 11th Summer Davos Forum opened in Dalian. Premier Li Keqiang gave an opening speech, and more than 2,000 guests from 80-plus countries including CECEP Chairman Liu Dashan were present. Mr. Liu later participated in the discussion on China’s clean technology revolution.
Discussion topics ranged from infrastructures in low-carbon cities, renewable energy, carbon market and green finance to the global impact of the green technology revolution after China is transformed from the world’s largest emitter to the world’s largest market for renewable energy. Chairman Liu told the audience that CECEP is the only central SOC in China whose core business is energy conservation and environmental protection. Everything it does is related to energy conservation and environmental protection, and aimed to fulfill its mission of green development. The clean technology revolution in China is expected to not only yield clean technologies that are more advanced and applicable, but also deliver real results in large-scale and high-level industrialization and commercialization. When talking about Xiongan New Area, Liu disclosed that CECEP participates in building the new area in accordance with President Xi Jinping’s instruction of having a vision of the new century, following international standards, retaining Chinese characteristics, and meeting high requirements. It is working toward the goal of building Xiongan a beautiful green city that features high standards, ecological progress and environment-friendliness.
CECEP made its voice heard at the 2017 Summer Davos, or the World Economic Forum's (WEF) Annual Meeting of the New Champions. Its presence at the event further boosted the company’s reputation and influence as well as its cooperation with WEF.
