On May 6, 2022, the pharmaceutical warehouse project in Harare, Zimbabwe, undertaken by CQEC, successfully passed the 8-day completion acceptance organized by the Ministry of Commerce.
Zou Xiaoming, Counselor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Zimbabwe, and Li Qing, Deputy Director of the Southeast African Division of the International Economic Cooperation Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, participated in the final meeting of the completion acceptance through video, congratulated the successful completion of the project, and highly praised the company's on-site management team for overcoming many difficulties to complete the project management task with high quality.
The project is located in the southern district of Harare, Zimbabwe, with a total construction area of 13,700㎡, and newly built 1# and 2# pharmaceutical warehouses, power distribution stations, fire pump houses, guard rooms, waste storage rooms and auxiliary facilities, etc., including a 488㎡ cold storage at 2 ~ 8℃ The project can store about 10,000 pallets of medicines. The completion of the project will play an important role in Zimbabwe's medical and health undertakings, especially in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The construction of the project in Harare started in August 2019. Faced with the impact of the pandemic, all members of the on-site management team stood firm against difficulties and challenges. The successful completion of the project fully reflects the sense of responsibility and mission of central enterprises, and has made positive contributions to promoting the friendship between China and Zimbabwe.
